The glued laminated wooden pieces are clearly visible in this cross section, giving it strength, as well as the metal laminate on the blade's leading edge. The piece is marked with the serial number of Spitfire PV202Y1AC161. This was purchased by AeroAntique from a British aircraft restoration team during a fund raising event at the
