Wheel and Flap Position Indicator, Type A-2, 8DJ4PBM US Army Yokosuka P1Y Bomber Ginga akaThis is a WWII era Wheel and Flap Position Indicator, Type A 2, as used in aircraft of the US Army Air Force and US Navy with tail wheel landing gear. According to the Maintenance and Interchangeability Chart dated Feb 1945, the A 2 indicator was used in early versions of fighter P 47 Thunderbolt (see image of the P 47 instrument panel from its flight manual dated 1943) and transport C 46 Commando. It was also used in the fighter P 40F Warhawk
